>.360 or .375? I am looking to mount a globe type target front sight to my newest Poormans(Me) match rifle Its a #4 in the original 303 But with a Douglas med. heavy fluted barrel in normal .308 groove Now the big challenge to find a suitable rear target sight that wont cost me as much as the rifle did. Pics and cast results to follow!:drinks:

You can re-work the dovetail on a Lyman #17 aperture front sight to fit the #4 rifle. Or alternately buy a spare surplus #4 front sight sleeve and open it up to accept an unmodified sight. A friend who resisted spending $150+ for a good Parker Hale receiver sight bought a Lyman #57 (about $68) made for the Winchester M1886 rifle. He made an adapter plate to fit the side of his No.4 rifle and mounted it snugly. While it lacked the full range of windage adjustment of the PH, it was sufficient for his needs and much more accurate than the dual-range flip sight that came with.
