Wow, I’m so boring I only liked a couple of them. I respect the work involved certainly.

Call me old fashioned but I would much prefer a plain gun that shoots well. Too much bling for my taste like a pretty girl with silicone implants; just spoils the whole thing.

Me too. I'd be afraid to shoot most of them. Not that they wouldn't shoot, but they'd get less in value. Rather have a 'plain jane' that shoots well than one of those. But they do take a lot of skill to do.

I already have one blue and one stainless Walther PPK in 380 caliber. Both are fine handguns. I would sure like one all dressed up, scrolled over, and sporting those fancy grips.

Like the local Texas Sheriff arriving at the Debutante Ball carrying twin chrome, ivory handled, 45 Colts in a heavily scrolled, handcrafted, ornate leather holster, and the Hostess exclaiming, "I see you came armed for trouble," to which the Sheriff replied, "No Ma'am. If I knew there was going to be trouble, I would have brought a shotgun."

There is def a difference between a shooter and a show gun which is what these are. I think some of these look really sexy but as others have said before me I want to shoot my guns so a show guns arent for me.

If I were to win the lottery, I would like to have one fancied up gun. But since that won't happen, I'll be satisfied with my users, a couple of which haven't been used enough to have character yet.

I have guns at all levels including a number of custom guns and engraved ones. All have seen the hunting fields. You don't have a custom gun built or engraved to make them shoot better. You have them done because you love them. Meticulous craftsmanship, huge respect for the talent involved. Blued steel and deluxe wood perfectly finished and checkered. A work of art that is immensely usable. Everyone I know who has such guns do use and shoot or hunt with them regularly. They are not safe queens......I don't own one of those. They were built for me to shoot so I shoot them. Some of those shown I like Ok and others I don't care for but acquiring what you want is how it works.

My brother came up with a fully engraved S&W Combat Masterpiece. He would not let me shoot it or buy it because he knew I'd shoot it! He sold it in 5 minutes at the gun show to a collector.

I love beautifully engraved firearms. Many in those were overdone for my taste. More than enough is not always better. Some were downright ugly to me. Some were just plain guns with a light hanging off of them. They might be all tricked out internally but they’re boring on the outside.

If I have enough money to buy one of those, I would not, but, they are fun to look at.

Three pages and most were just plain awful. There were only three 1911's that I would be even mildly interested in. Most of them looked more like caricatures of guns.

Made for TV guns. Most would have been better served with a nice set of Wood grained grips.

It's pretty sad when I enjoy looking at "Gun Porn" these days more than I enjoy looking at regular old "Porn" ...

I had a very nice Colt 1911 that was engraved, a real safe queen. I loved it when I bought it but after awhile the uniqueness wore off quickly and I sold it and put the money into two Henry's and a couple others. Money well spent!

I would be afraid to shoot those. I have a "custom" 1911. She was given to me by a very good friend when I left the service. She's not ornate, but has a nice personalized engraving but she is still a safe queen. A personal momento if you will.
