22-250 ai

I don't where else to put this. I have a current project I am building a 22-250 AI on a Ren 700 Action , I know it is not and will most likely never be a cast boolit shooter , but this group has a lot of knowledge and resources , I know at one point Nosler made it as a factory cartridge out of , from looking it didn't stay, I plan to form cases from factory ammo, But some where is Nosler factory ammo for testing the rifle with known ammo( I prefer to test all of my rifle builds with Factory ammo) and a pile of new factory brass would be a sweet find.

Most wildcats had several variations of the reamer A 22-250 AI may have slight differences in body taper and or shoulder angle / location. Here testing with brass formed to your chamber may be better

my idea here is to use a reamer to Noslers spec. this should take a lot of the variables out of it. but for test purpose I would like known brass and load conditions

The ammo is no longer listed on nosler.com. Maybe you can find some NOS if you hit enough forums with a WTB.

The 22/250 AI reamer has been a favorite since the late 80's. You will need to form your brass from factory brass. Fire forming loads will shoot 1/2" or less.

Load new 22-250 brass or buy 22-250 factory ammo and have fun firing it away to make your Ackley brass. One of the bonuses of the Ackley improved cartridges was that you could use the parent Factory ammo with no problems and good accuracy.
