I did it - I bought what I thought was the best upgrade possible....an Ergo Roller Handle. My was I surprised!! I think it is the worst thing I have ever purchased. What is your thoughts? I am a big guy - 6'4" tall and load in the seated position. I just don't like the long travel in to seat the primer, etc. I used the Dillon handle for about a month (just purchased the press) and loaded about 4K rounds. Switched handle - loaded about 2K more - and am not impressed as I thought. Switched back to the factory handle and sent an email off to the outfit that sold me the handle and asked about returns. Where does it help - am I missing something?

My press is on a bench and has the metal platform riser and the ergo handle. I stand up and load. I like it. I couldn't imagine doing it seated.

I have tried the ergo handle on my LnL AP and I did not like it at all and reverted back to the standard ball.
A few months ago I decided to try the roller handle which replaces the ball on my Dillon 650 and I did not like that either, I prefer to have my hand on top of the handle.(The handle connecting the handle with the press that is)

I reload sitting and only load 400 rounds a session so no really long sessions.

I use the ergo handle on the elevated stand, I also load on the 650 standing up. I don't go fast as I like to watch each station go by.

After covering the ball of my 550b with my baby granddaughter's sock I never felt the need to do anything else to it. That sox really makes the ball glide throughout the entire stroke. She's grown now but I stole all her baby socks as they do wear out and get very dirty.

I did add the short InLine roller handle to my CO-AX and seriously love it.

I really don’t like the ergo either, it wont stay tight in one place. Need to keep moving it back into position when running. Will put ball back on, thought it would be better, but seated reloading it ain’t. Standing, it may work, which may be the way I end up using since I’m getting a new bench that’s higher, off the ground.

I had a roller handle on one of my 650’s, I prefer the ball. I got rid of the “strong mount” too.

I bought one years ago and used it for a while and then went back to the ball handle. I think it is in the backseat of my car, I have been trying to
give it to some of my shooting buddies, but it is still in my car.

I do all my reloading sitting and have replaced the factory balls with the larger aftermarket billiard balls. They feel better to me, a shooter buddy told me that he had tried a roller handle on his Dillon but went back to the ball. He stands when reloading.

I'm able to distribute pressure across more of the palm of my hand. Less overall pain in this old guy's hand. So, the Dillon roller handle is much better for me.

I did the same with my Dillon, though the sock covers a layer of dense foam cut and wired around the ball to pad it.

Had one a couple years ago for my 650. Put it on and after about 30 minutes it came right back off. Just didn't feel right. Sold it for what I paid. To keep from getting blisters I put on a tight leather fitting glove on my right hand. Everything slides just fine and no hot spots in the palm.

I can stand or sit (high kitchen stool) at my bench, Inlinefabrication is here in town, they had a display at the local gun show some years ago, I tried the roller handle at their display, they still own it!, it feels totally unnatural to me!??, the ball is they way to go!

Sorry, I love it as compared to the OEM ball. Couldn't stand the ball. Ergo takes a bit to get used to, bit of a different grip and motion.

After growing up reloading on all manner of presses with bicycle handle grips, I was thrilled when RCBS brought out the BALL Handle for the Green Machine or the 4X4. Can't remember which, don't have either anymore. But the 4X4 Handle with the BALL is A GOD-send.

I tried a friends roller handle on his dillon. Couldn't stand it.
And as for standing up to reload. I designed my Reloading Bench 35yrs ago to reload sitting on a 24" stool. See no reason to change at this late date.

I went to the Roller on the 650. The ball didn't do it for me. I had an old injury and surgery on my right hand. The fatigue was way less with the roller.

Love the Roller Handle by Dillon and the Dillon Strong Mount. Probably/might have something to do with body size.

I love HF and all the 'stuff' they have

found a pair of padded half finger gloves--just wear right one when reloading and left one when resizing shotgun hulls
