Picked this up this afternoon at a local antique shop. It is marked .429 220. Nice shape, perhaps unused with a bit of light rust. Does have the box, what interests me is that there are no vent lines. Any ideas what it is?

According to the Lyman Handbook of Cast Bullets(#1) it is:
"Designed by A.L.A. Himmelwright to cut clean hole with .44 S. & W. Russian or Colt New Service revolver. Very accurate to 50 yards."

Looks like an excuse to get a 44 Russian. Thanks for the info.

Good catch at an antique store. I rarely find anything of reloading tool value in those places, even if it is fun to look around.

I believe it was Chamberlain in his book on antique reloading tools that said his first old Ideal tong tool was found in an antique shop labeled as a leather punch. Anybody with a. Mini-Van and a receipt book can go into the antique business... no knowledge (or even common sense) needed!
