Hello all, my brother has a project 3 screw Ruger Blackhawk in 357 magnum, and is looking for a few suggestions on where he could send the cylinder to be rechambered to 44 Special. I know this is a reasonably popular conversion, and figured I would ask here.

Thanks

I send my stuff to Dave Clements of Clements custom guns. He usually has a quick turnaround, and is reasonably priced. He has a website.

If neither of those works out for you, Andy Horvath in LaGrange, OH has also done a bunch of them. He has a good reputation and did a 327 FM conversion on a S&W for me.

I’ll second David Clements. Last I talked to him he was going to start taking in 1894 marlins again as well. He stated he will be retiring in the next couple years. Get work done by quality smith while you can. Quality revolver smiths are a dying breed.

Andy Horvarh has made a living converting .36 Calibers in 44 Specials.
