Found a old saeco furnace for a 100$ is it worth it?

Those are nice furnaces but that sounds a little high to me. Try to make sure that it works or get some type of guarantee.

SAECO pots are good, they hold 10 pound of alloy
So if that is sufficient for your needs, consider that

Sounds kinda high to me as well. I picked one up at a gun show last year for $60. Nice old pot. I power it through a PID control. It's nearly identical to the Lyman 61 pot when you put them side by side. I wonder if the same company made both, just used different labels?

They are excellent pots with 1000 watt elements. You can preheat your mold on the ledge at the back of the pot and also your ingots. You can easily run two 4 cav molds all day long by preheating ingots and that furnace will keep up with you. Price is a bit high but if in good shape it's a better deal IMO than a Lee 20lb. pot.

I bought a couple of guns from a guy and he threw in a SAECO 24 pot. This, of course, is after I had already purchased a Lee pot. So now I have two.

I stripped the SAECO down and painted all the parts with hi-temp Rustoleum BBQ flat black paint. Pot works well, but is a bit small. Temp control is iffy. But it works.

I think $100 is a bit high. But, then again, they aren't available anymore as far as I can tell.

All I know is that it doesn't drip much, compared to the Lee pot.

had one. It was my first step up from the lees. great pot but id be leary about paying a 100 bucks for it. If it breaks your screwed because parts aren't made for them anymore. Maybe 50 bucks and roll the dice.

I think $100 is high - I have a couple, and they work fine for me. I pre-heat my molds (as mentioned above) on the back lip of the pot and have no complaints. I think $80 shipped is a fair price - but someone might want it for $100, and there we are...
