My daughter Rachel seems to have a systemic infection of some sort, currently manifesting itself as a cyst, or infected lymph gland, with a lot of pain. She is an RN, but puts off taking care of herself. I would appreciate your prayers in her behalf.

Rachel has been to the Dr. twice, first time for meds, Lancing this am. She definitely is not feeling well, but hopefully on the mend.

Rachel went to the Emergency Rm last night and was admitted. Whatever meds she was on, weren't effective, another cyst was developing. Looks like a systemic infection to me, nothing to fool around with.

Rachel has been diagnosed with "necrotizing fasciitis", and is being moved to Strong Mem. in Rochester, anticipating surgery before tomorrow. Your prayers are appreciated.

Urgent prayer for Rachel's healing.

The Surgeon anticipated a 2 hour surgery, was done in a little over an hour and a half. He reported a4-5 inch incision on her inner thigh and another 2-3 times as long on her side. His assessment was that she is a 2 maybe 3 on a scale of 10. They will monitor closely and revisit probably Tue and again Thur to be sure they have all the bad tissue removed.

Thanks for your prayers. She is also on at least 3 other prayer chains that I am aware of.

Rachel is in a lot of pain today. Medically, progress is good, repacked and applied vacuum today which is uncomfortable to put it mildly. She has experience with pain from a couple of previous experiences, headaches for a year and back injury a couple of times.
The plan is rest tomorrow and recheck Friday. Your prayers are appreciated.
