I found one (4-cavity) on eBay a long time ago, and I finally got around to casting some (about 30 pounds worth). Does anyone have any favorite loads for it?

It's bullet sure looks a lot like a discontinued Lee mold I have. I used 231 and Bullseye with that.

6 gr of Unique makes for a very accurate acp load.

PS: But, it is a little dirty

I've used 4.0 grains of Bullseye in my Combat Target Model for years. 3.5 grains will function it but the 4.0 grain loads shoot a little better./beagle

I've been lurking here for a long time, picking up a lot of great info........been casting since 1976 and reloading since 1970, I'm 53 Hello to all of you!!!!!!!!!! This thread got my attention because I use the 452460 in my 1911 for a little informal bullseye competition in the winter here. A great load for it is 4 grains of Winchester Super Target and any large pistol primer........super accurate and the one of the cleanest shooting loads you'll find. I hope they still make this powder!!!! Dale

I hope they still make this powder!!!! Dale (In reference to Winchester Super Target).

Yep, they still do.

Quite popular among the 45 ACP crowd, really. Good stuff, bulks up well, light color is easy to see, color and bulk prevent double charges, and it meters well.

What's not to like?

I find it has a curious "peppery" smell upon firing.

my go to load with bullseye has allways been 4.3 grains. I dont know why im sure its because it shot a little better then 4 in a couple guns way back.
