Power Pistol results - 38 Spl +P 158 gr swc (your results also)

I’ve chronograhed avg 1,025 FPS using 6.0 grs Power Pistol and 158 gr swc in 6 inch barrel. Ruger B/H with 4 5/8 inch barrel approx. 975 FPS.

Power Pistol is really great for 38 Spl +P 158 gr loadings and I don’t notice any excessive flash with lead/cast bullets.

I’m regulating my Unique supply for mid range 357 Magnum (6.0 grs 158 gr swc, nice and accurate loading) or 38-44 load data from Handloader Oct 2016 using 358156 GC loaded long).

What have been your results using Power Pistol in 158 gr 38 Spl +P loadings?

I've observed the following velocities using 6gr PP with Lee 158 RNFP from 3" SP101 and 4" 686 respectively: 970 avg and 994 avg.

6.7 PP with Lee 132 RNFP, 3" bbl showed 1063 fps avg

I am going to convert to power pistol for my plus P 38 bulk ammo with Lee’s 158 TL SWC. Looks like an easy 100 FPS gain in velocity in all barrel lengths over unique. Thanks for sharing.

And I too use unique for reduced 357 leadings with the same bullet.
