Lee Loader in 10ga 2 7/8"

Will a 10ga. Lee Loader in 2 7/8" load 3 1/2" shells? It appears by looking at the pictures the loader would work as well on the longer shells as long as one used the right amounts of powder and shot. Anyone have any experiance with this loader?

I can't answer your questions, but would be interested in the loader if it doesn't work out for you. I do know Lee made separate die sets for the 2-1/2" and 3" 410 bore shells. I would have to assume that you would have to make a spacer for the difference in hull lengths for it to work.

I think the 2 7/8" loader might work for the longer 3 1/2" shell but It would not resize the brass. You would also need to make or use different powder and shot dippers for the heavier loadings.
