Got this mold for my new 30-06
cast from wheel weights and powder coated with Smokes orange
with gr imr 3031 brought to life with a cci br-2 primer
I shot the best 50 yd.group I have ever shot with cast boolits
5 shots into a 3/4" group 39.0 gr.this was close to the bottom charge from my test group
I believe I went to 41.5 gr in that group
boolits drop from the mold @ 190-192 gr with my alloy
now I will load up a box of 20 and test it out even further both
for yardage and consistency of charge weight
these were fired from a Winchester model 70 Super Grade with a 3x9 Ziess Conquest riflescope

funny I was trying almost exact same thing, slightly heavier accurate mold, pc, 3031, similar alloy, and I was getting bad accuracy fliers at 36gr. is yours slower than a 10 twist? also do you know your velocity?

Not sure the velocity
but my charge was 39.0 gr not 36.5 like I originally posted
the twist is a 10 twist if that is the standard
must be the fit in the chamber that makes up the difference

shoots just as good @ 100 ydds as it does at 50 yds
groups 3 under an 1" at 100
