I have a full box each of Western Super-X Silvertip .30-06 150 gr, and Western Super-X Silvertip .30-30 170 gr. Are these desired by collectors and how much are they worth?

I don't think those 1970s boxes are old enough to bring more than fresh, current ammo.

I'm currently watching a listing on GunBroker with three boxes of old Super-X 170-grain boattail SP rounds of pre-WW2 manufacture. The boxes are falling apart and exposed lead on the bullets oxidized. With only a few hours to go before the auction closes, nobody has placed an opening bid at $40 yet...

Condition and scarcity are what drives collector ammo. While yours appears nice, I don't think it is "old enough" or "unusual enough" yet to be "collectible."

Here are photos of a clean WW2-era box of .30-30 Silvertips which I paid $25 for, plus shipping.
I was glad to get it and felt it was a great deal. Also some boxes of Peters ammo from the same era, gotten at similar price per box.

I am hunting with my 70's era 30-30 Silver Tips. I carry 2 as they are factory along with my reloads.

I got a full box of Silvertips at the house in 30-30. I plan to shoot them up.

NOT BEING A SMART ****. Basically they are worth whay you can get for them.

I have seen folks asking 100 and see it sell for 25-30 on forums. I bought a box full from a neighbor ten years back for 20$.

I keep some and save it cause it reminds me of days gone by.

The valuable "modern" Winchester boxes are: The Bear boxes and the handloaded Match ammo.

It might not be old enough to be valuable but I think it's neat.

Certainly bring back memories of my first visit to a Adirondack hunting camp.
