Gunlaker

A while ago I was in the local gun store and ran into a fellow about to put an 1892 Winchester ( Miroku built ) takedown Trapper in .44 magnum on the consignment rack. It's a little different than the current 1892 Winchesters as it's blued not case hardened, but it has the same 16" octagonal takedown barrel. I haven't shot any cast bullets out of it yet but it slugs at 0.429" which surprised me as I'd heard that the rifles run a little bigger.
I'm probably going to put a receiver sight and Lyman 17 on it as I'm not a huge fan of buckhorns.
I like this new 1892 quite a bit. The action is super smooth and the trigger is good. I think I like it more than my Browning 1886 SRC to be honest.
Chris.
