Years ago, someone handed me a handful of 215-220 grain SWC bullets that they did not have a use for. I tried them in the Contender, a couple of 627's and my Marlin. So far, I have only found one SWC over 200 grains that would feed in it, and the bullet this guy gave me was it. I am not sure what the bullet really was, but it had 2 crimp grooves, but I can't remember if it was gas checked or not. It seems to me that it was a plain base, by I have slept many times since the early 90's.

Have any of you tried this bullet in the 1894C, not the newer 1894CL. I really miss having a 200+ grain that works in this rifle.

Thanks Matt
