NOTE: Work your own loads up for your own gun, boolt, powder, etc... Trusting in "internet" loads was proven to be a bad idea in the following post.
So... I have been trying to load for my CZ52 for a while and it has been a weird animal to load for.
I have a good load for A2400 and I could not get the gun to function without pressure signs with Unique...
Anyway, I found a really fun load.
My boolit is the Accurate mold: 31-085bg But I had it made without a lube grove. So they weight about 90 grain.
These are gas checked and sized to 0.309".
I used WSP primers and 12.7 grain of W296. Why W296? Well, I have a lot of it...and it is kind of appropriate...sort of.
I did a ladder starting at 11 grain and going to 14 grain. The "internet" load MAX was 14.4 for a 90 grain boolit...
I found that at 13.5 grain the case was full and the first round had a flat mildly cratered primer. 14 grain was compressed and I did not shoot it.
However, 13 grain was accurate as was 12.5 grain with no pressure signs. So I split the difference to 12.7 and that load is great in my gun!
It's a tack driver with a super flat trajectory and has a HUGE ball of fire shooting out of the barrel. I know it is a little slow for the barrel length, but I love it.
I also had no leading, and my barrel was not all that dirty after about 140 rounds. I ran a couple patches of #9 though it and a couple more to soak it up and I had a shiny clean barrel.
I'm not a good comp shooter yet, but I do have a video because some of the people wanted to video the fireball:
