I found this by accident but you all may want to keep it a place to get alloy that are pure to make your "special" mix ----"Rotometals"-- Now i know why the lead free solider is so high also here is your melt temps tin 231c lead 327c antimony630c someone can convert that its too late for me iknow +32 and something + something - something ==== you doit

231C divided by 5 = 46.2 times 9 = 415.8 + 32 = 447.8F which is not the exact temperature I remember for tin's melting point. Seems like 451 or 453 or some such. But the numbers are fairly close.

You do the rest.

Edit: just looked up tin - melts at 429F

327c =620.6f for Pb
630c=1166f for atimony
vic 451f is wood/paper I think

These may be a little easier (one less step) :mrgreen:

(C X 1.8) + 32 = F

(F - 32) X .555 = C

Useless factoid:

-40*C = -40*F

Use the formula above to check it out.
