gas check size

I bought some old gas checks off the bargin table at the local gun shop. There hornady .35 caliber and they came in a tin can from the factory. The older ones are taller then the new ones I have in the cardboard box. Did hornady make different sizes?

How much taller are the older ones ? Double the size ?

not quite double, maybe half again the size of the newer ones. I installed some on some 158 grain bullets I cast from a lyman mould and the went on and crimped just fine but they cover the entire indention for the gas check whereas the newer ones leave a space for lube.
