View Full Version : Front Sight Pusher
Are there any universal sight pushers that work on most milsurp rifles?
The K31 being the biggest pita to move with any ease.
Maybe a winter project for some of you with a mill. I would take a couple.
Or, in Brownells offerings, is there a good universal one?

I saw an idea on one of the Swiss rifle forums to use a slightly modified nut splitter to make a sight pusher for the K31.
I was feeling flush at the time so I paid about $50 for an original military armorer's tool from a guy in Switzerland.

Sarco had original Swiss front sight movers about 5 or 6 years ago.
It was the combo one that did both the K31 and the K11.
I got one back then, and it works very well.

Check the surplus rifle web sites. Someone had a drawing of that tool made from a nut splitter mentioned above. Not hard to make.

JSH, The Sears Craftsman nut splitter works quite well, but you'll need to wrap some of it in electrician's tape to keep it from marring your rifle.
Somewhere I saw one made from a cheap "C" clamp. A little grinding and bingo, they had one. Can't remember the source.

Jeff,
Here's a link to a sight pusher (http://www.milsurpshooter.net/topic/4626/t/Really-cheap-front-sight-adjustment-tool-for-K31.html?page=1) for a K-31. It works great!
I posted a picture on page 2.
