I'm in the market for a holster for a 7.5" Redhawk. From past experience a belt holster is OUT. I had an Uncle Mikes nylon shoulder holster once and never could get it to fit right or be comfortable. does anyone have any experience with this sort of set up?

Cross draw. But it still goes on the belt. It has to be leather to hold the angle to be .... comfortable and functional. It isn't a problem when done properly.

That looks like it would work. I'm shopping for a .44 too, but am trying to figure out how I'm going to carry it around. This is similar, and I'm considering it. Crossdraw looks good, but I'm wondering about the weight there.

I have not bought from these folks but here's some "holster eye candy":

A neighbor did buy the Bianchi HUSH holster and likes it MUCH!

Have a look at Barrantileather.com for his chest rig. Very comfortable, absolute top quality.

I have a Bianchi X-15 for my K-frames. It does a wonderful job. I had a nylon scoped one from Sportsman Guide for a scoped Super BH that appeared to have been designed and manufactured by someone who had never seen or held a gun. It was not a keeper. Go with leather. Gianni
