I've asked this question several years ago to no avail, but I'm optimistic that one of you can help me identify what EB-11R was to be used in. Here's what I can tell you about it:

Manufactured by Bofors for Ensign Bickford of Connecticut. I've gone to the Bofors site, but it was written in Swedish. I also spoke to a few technicians at EB, but they never got back to me.

The powder is black & shiny, with short grains, very much like IMR 4227 or AA 5744 in appearance, but with an entirely different burning rate (slower). Since I don't really know what that rate is, I've only tried it with 87gr. CB's in my .243Win., a Ruger #1 with a 26" bbl. Chrono. data is as follows:

14.0gr. -> 1,273fps +- 65fps
19.5gr. -> 1,684fps +- 64fps
20.5gr. -> 1,714fps +- 88fps
21.0gr. -> 1,722fps +- 43fps
21.5gr. -> 1,746fps +- 68fps

Btw, the results were quite satisfying in spite of not knowing what EB-11R is. Maybe for the 5.56 NATO? Thanks in advance!
