Okay, not the cow elk we were looking for, but I did use a cast bullet in .45 Colt. In full disclosure, my wife spotted it and pointed it out to me. And yes the herd of mule deer we saw, she also spotted and pointed out to me.

Yes... it’s nice to have wife’s along sometimes.

Looks a lot easier to drag than an elk.

You can tag that, an elk should be easy :)

beans, I admit it's not as big as an elk, but in all fairness, it was down hill from the trail, and was a real BEAR to drag back up.

GRMPS, I'd like to try an elk, if I could just get her to find me one.

Haha a white rabbit in the snow I would have never seen that either without an extra set of eyes . Well done sir .

R U She said what she first saw was a red eye staring at her out of the snow.

I shot my first deer up Lolo Creek (not far from Missoula), well below the road. I still remember my uncle and grandfather waiting in the old International Scout as I drug it back up the hill :)

Dont beat yourself up to bad my wife has pointed out deer to me and I had to use my scope to see it. Since then I have picked up some glasses since she will not go on every hunt. Also reminds me of a story my Grandmother told me one summer back when I was a kid. She pointed to a rock beside the drive and told me that is a rabbit. I was kind of confused then she told me Grandpa shot the rock after she pointed out the rabbit about 5 feet away from it I think she liked the laugh she got out of me.

Well, I think it is not a good idea to go out in the woods with “wife’s” ....... and it would be even more dangerous if you bring a gun ..... things get a little testy and somebody is going to stay out there!

Oh man, some of the best times I had were with my wife rabbit hunting and listening to our two Beagles circling them." Doesn't get any better then that".
