I know the answer my question is right here in this forum.
My rifle,1894 Cowboy 44 mag has a bore of .431 so I size my bullets at .433.
My S&W 629 44 mag sizes at .428 as I have slugged all my guns I shoot cast bullets in.
Would there be a problem shooting .433 sized cast bullets in my S&W 629 at .428?
Seems like a big jump but I am asking the right people.
Thanks,repeat

If you can chamber the .433" in the 629 you can shoot it without issue. I doubt you can chamber that unless the throats have been opened up.

The pistol in my avatar is a Uberti Old West model, .451" groove diameter, .4565" throat diameters, I size to .456" and at 10yds, this thing is a fly's worst nightmare.

I've shot .433s in my SBH but as has been pointed out they were tight to chamber. No signs of pressure. I dropped back to .432 and that's done well for me./beagle

Thanks guys I have a .428 and a .430 and now a sizer in .433.
My slug size came up .431 so I could go down to .432 and give it a try.
The .433 bullets have difficulty chambering, they will go but not easy. Thanks
