John Campbell, author of The Winchester Single Shot

I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten in touch with John Campbell, who wrote the books The Winchester Single Shot and The Winchester Single Shot II? He also wrote articles on single shot rifles and for several magazines. I wanted to ask him and talk to him a little on the Winchester 1885 rifles.

John had moved on to high class double shotguns the last I heard and had a website/forum that was sort of a digital magazine on same IIRC. I used to write for him when he edited the Single Shot Journal, but have lost track of him in the intervening nearly two decades. AFAIK, he sort of "shook the dust off his shoes" and left the field of single shots altogether when he made the transition to double guns. Big loss to the single shot community because he was quite quite knowledgeable in the field. I miss him!
