Finally finished my 35 Rem Mauser. It’s based on a SR 93 Mauser. Been working on the stock since Thanksgiving but life kept getting in the way. Haven’t been to the range yet, but hope to soon.

Yes, more photos. I really like that panel stock. Where did the stock come from and was it already a panel or did you do that yourself? james

Who chambered the barrel? Is it your reamer?
Stunning. Well done. (more photos, please)

The action was barrelled by dpcd over on accuratereloading.com and is a Douglass Barrel. He also did the d&t work and the bolt and blueing. The stock was cut by Dave (inthe10ring) over on mausercentral.net . I did the inletting and final shaping and finish. It originally was cut as a Mannlicher, but I ran into some issues at the muzzle with warping due to the very thin tip, so I had to cut it back to a regular sporter. It was a Euro-Sporter pattern designed for iron sights.

Beautiful lookin little rifle ! Did it require any mods to the feed rails to function perfectly with the shorter 35 Rem

Really nice sweet work! Love the way you set it up for iron sight. I've got a 35 Rem on a 1910 Mexican Mauser action I'm hoping to complete before I die LOL!
NICE RIFLE!

very nice indeed. People who do not have a 35 rem are simply missing out on a good easy to load for cartridge.

Life has kept me busy. I have started the reloading process... got the boolits ready, sized , lubed, and coated twice with BLL. Trying to pick the best load for these 220 grain thumpers. Looking for 1500 to 1800 fps.

If others want to build one, Brownells offers a short chambered SR bbl in 35 Rem.
That's the barrel I used some years back to build my 35 Rem on a M91 Argentine action.

...............Yup, I built one also. This one was done in the early 2000's.

IIRC the stock was on sale for $39, and I've completely forgotten where the barrel came from. Not very fancy, but it's a fine shooter.
