Posting Pictures With IPad?

I often browse our site with my iPad due to its convenience, but find that posting pictures is impossible for me, at least. I can browse my photo library, but cannot drag them to the attachment field.

Am I doing it wrong or is there a better way?

Same issue here, I end up going to a "normal" computer to post photos to any website, not just here.

To go one step further the other way if you download a .pdf file to an Ipad there is no way that I can find to get it off other than to email it to myself, but photos can be accessed on a regular computer in file manager like a disk or thumb drive... go figure.

For all the things IPad's can do these type things are relatively annoying at times. Supposedly there are apps to do all this but I just don't see spending the effort to figure them out.

My gen 2 iPad works with imgur but my new 6 th gen I just set up a few days ago will not give me the option with a drop down box for link options for some reason. I’m having issues as well.

This is the correct way... I also only use Ipad’s with this site of various flavors. Ipad mini’s, ipad2’s, and so on...

Once you click that, the next photo comes up... be sure to click the “from computer” and not the URL upload. The url options comes up first, but ignore it and click the “from computer” then select “choose file”

The word Upload... it can be kinda hard to get the finger on just the upload word, but it works...

Mine says the file or pic is too big if I load it directly from my iPad so I have to use the imgur app. I just loaded a pic from my old second gen iPad but the new updated iPad must have a different version being it doesn't load the image on this sight when I copy the link and paste it. It says "url" on both sides instead of "img". If I manually change them from one to the other it still doesn't work.

Hey Tripplebeards.. make sure the resolution of the pictures you are taking with your IPad is set to a lower resolution... take a smaller pic.

The app on my 6 th gen iPad pad says copy link. I click on it it and when I paste it here its posts a blank little square instead of the photo for sum reason.

Triplebeards... what is the name of the app you are using on your IPad?

If you are using Imager, let me show you what link to click...

Start out with the image you want to upload... I use postimage.org, so this will outline the procedure from that image hosting service. It’s free.

Here is a photo I uploaded of a couple totem poles I found while exploring a tiny island at an old burial site.

Now click on the share icon I highlighted in red...

Then click on the Direct link icon in red.

That click copied the direct link into your clipboard so you can post the picture directly into Cast boolits site. Now switch over to the message you want to post the image to on Cast boolits. And click the icon below highlighted in red...

Then click this.. the insert image from URL button

Then the little box will change, and there will be a long horizontal box. Press in he center of the box with your fingertip and leave it there for a sec until you see this...

Select paste, and you will see the location of the image in posted for you.

Be sure that the little check box that says “Retrive image locally” things is checked... and press ok... and wallah... you will get this...

Post your message and the message will have your picture in it...

It seems like a lot of steps, but there are a lot of steps in reloading a single case if you break it down like I have... it is truly easy once you get the hang of it, and the process is similar for other message sights like the High Road and others..

Marko, I deleted the Imgur app and then signed in direct off their website. It works now the same way it dose on my 2nd gen iPad.

I tried to post the pistol using my IPAD. Before it completed the upload it ask which size I wanted. I tried all three sizes but always received the error. It appears the smallest size is bigger than what is allowed to upload. Is this what you are experiencing?

This is what I am getting with my IPad. Used to work fine. Is Tapatalk working for you?

No I don’t use Tapatalk.
I use a photo editing app to crop and or save to a lower resolution.

I had to choose jpeg files in the "settings " section in the iPad in the camera icon setup.

I can’t seem to find how to change the camera resolution on a iPad for some reason if there is a way. Something like 760x860 or some such.
Works for me if I can keep the size down enough to upload the picture.

This iPad picture thing seems to change a lot. I can drive a PC, but this apple thing drives me nuts. Been thinking about getting a PC Surface tablet.

I tried the tips that Marko gave me, but there seems to be a difference between my iPhone and iPad. Wish I could drag and drop on my iPad
