I searched and couldn’t find just what I was looking for so here it is...
I’ve been casting for subsonic 300 blackout with straight ww’s and pcing them. Thing is, I have a couple hundred lbs of pure lead. What ratio is gonna give me a useable hardness for my needs? I don’t have a lot of free time to experiment. If there’s a resource I don’t know about, feel free to share it with me.

There is an alloy calculator in the stickies, designed by a member, that is free to download.

Yes, use the alloy calculator... it works well! I find that my 94/3/3 works very well in most guns at less than 2200FPS. I am now working with PC on that alloy and suspect that it will at least push that hard in the 30/06 with 150 to 185 grain bullets.

I’ve cast Lee 230 grain subsonics out of 94/3/3, and they work beautifully. I mixed 5 pounds each COWW/SOWW with about 1/3 pound of pewter. Water dropped, they’re at least 18 BHN.

From what I have learned on this sight, a 50/50 mix water dropped should work for subsonic and most supers.

200 pounds, 2-4%? Sounds like I'd buy about 10 pounds of pewter or linotype and go with that. Subsonic I've been using Range lead for almost everything, drop a piece or two of what appears to be linotype in my pot. Nothing exact, just keeps it filling out the molds well. If it starts to not, I drop another piece.
