I went to a scruffy pawn shop today, my favorite hunting ground for gun bargains. They had a Winchester 94 Ranger for $300.00 on the wall, one of the transitional models with Angle Eject but no manual safety. The rifle didn't look like it had been fired a whole lot, but definitely neglected. Had some scrapes on the receiver and surface rust in the bore. I told the man I was interested in it as a project and what was his low price, bearing in mind the rusty bore. He said $200.00, and I said he had a deal if I could layaway it 'til next payday. So, if nothing else it would be a good host for a .38-55 rebore!
