New bench and a dollar store find

My reloading stuff has been packed away for a year (move and new house build). Finally got it out of the boxes and got my new bench set up. Built a bench with a couple of interchangeable stations (via threaded knobs and t-nuts). Pic below.

Was trying to figure out a brass storage solution, and came across $1 shoebox/lid combos at a Dollar Tree store. Was inspired to create a solution where my cleaned brass is not only stored in the shoe boxes, but I am using them as a dispenser bin at the reloading station via a simple wooden fixture attached the underside of the bench. Worked out far better than I expected. I found the position perfect for a very easy pace improvement on the Lee Classic Turret. Also show below.

I have a serious coffee habit, but it would take a decade to accumulate that many 3lb. cans. :)

I buy my coffee in 2lb bags, store my brass and boolits in yogurt tubs. Of course, my reloading bench does not look quite as neat as the op. Nice job!

I get them at work, that’s just some of them. I label them with a sharpie between the handholds and can erase them with acetone if needed. Throw in a stay dry packet as needed.

Dang, that looks like my storeroom! We drink coffee and I save the cans but I got a jump start on cans back when I was still working. The Girls in the office saved them for me. I also use a sharpie and I erase with PVC cleaner!

The shoe box and the rack that holds it looks nice and neat. Good job!

I got my clear boxes for brass at Home Depot or Walmart. I think best price I have gotten is $0.98 each in bundled 4 or 5 pack from Home Depot on sale so a dollar store $1 as a steady source might be good option. I have white paper stick-on labels I use for the ends to note the caliber, headstamp, source, and trimmed or general prep state, firings etc. of the brass inside. Come off easy with a little heat from blow dryer. Easy to read. Enough room for details.

I use coffee cans too but not for brass storage. Sorting brass by headstamp the cans come out, and I store some special alloy lead in them. Same brand preference for red cans here I might add. However of late wife has been buying some brand from Walmart that comes in a metal can. Sort of mixed opinion on that. The plastic ones don't rust. The metal is stronger.

Neat idea having an under bench slide for the bin of brass, might have to look into that myself. On the clear & clean bench... this darkness too will pass in time. Just be patient.

rbstern: Well done. Nice looking bench and loading area. I too use plastic shoe boxes for brass storage. However, I like your sliding feature. I may have to incorporate that idea.

I've been deer hunting since before Thanksgiving. The sheer amount of stuff that I have acquired in the interim and haven't found a home for makes my loading room look like it was hit by a tornado. I might need to start over with a new storage system as the current one isn't working.

I like OP's set up. Well organized and usable. Good job.

Improvements continue. Traded for a Lyman Crusher 2, which I'll use mostly for sizing and some single stage operations. Mounted it to one of my "quick change" boards. Drilled two extra mounting holes on the board, so the press can be flipped over for upside down sizing.
