The gun is a 64-3 made between 1982 and 1988. I figured it might have been sighted for 125 grain boolits. I loaded up some Lee 125 rnfps one 4.3 of promo. The loaded round is the aiming point. 25 yards Weaver.
Still printing about 3" left so I may talk to the local gunsmith. Still I am pleased with the progress so far.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181230/ed934a23f8f2b95f4251fdaf93a01325.jpg

Great shooting! My 10-6 favors the same grain weight. Got to love older S&W’s.

One of the most accurate S&W's I ever shot was a heavy barrel model 10.
That old gutter groove revolver could put every round in the same hole at 50 ft. every time with wadcutter bullets. I couldn't buy that gun for any amount of money.

My current S&W Model 64 is also a dash 3 version. Mine will not shoot point of aim until you get the load near the upper edge of a standard pressure load. Once you get there, it shoots beautifully

The 38 Special K-frames are some of my favorite guns.
