CCI 1109 Shotgun Primers

A friend was inquiring about some CCI 1009 shotgun primers, I have never heard of them before.
Thanks have seen #57 primers, they are smaller but those are the only ones different than the 209s that I know of.
Anybody have any information about the 109s? I am sure that they have been out of production for over 20 years and his search will not be fruitful but I am curious if anyone has knowledge of them.

109's were their target primer back in the '70's. Same size as 209's.

they dont have the seal in the hole. and the new fine powder will filter in to the cup. So if used only use the flake like red dot etc

Per the Lyman 5th manual
"The CCI 209 and CCI 109 primers deliver identical ballistics, but are no longer being produced."

The reason they are no longer being produce has been post by too many things.
