still trying to remove as i want to try a rear scope in its place just to see how accurate it can be etc.
tried a few things but i dont its not budging
the spring seems to be on a sliding mechanism which does move and the usual pivot pin.

The front of the slide has to be stricken downward and rearward at the same time. There should be a fingernail cut for your well fitting brass punch. Raising the elevator a bit helps- good luck.

many thanks.....they is a finger nail cut and it does move freely.....its a bit tricky on your own so i will ask her indoors to lend a hand.

I banged on those pivots myself thinking they were pins. They are in there- it takes extra hands or concentrated muscle for sure.
