Some scumbag hacked the Marlin Owners forum. Anybody know if Larry is going to be able to recover?

I confess, I hang out there too. Last time I tried to log on, it locked up my pc and had a error message that read "MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER, ziOxbb shellcode?"

Wonder if some anti gunner got in and added some malicious code to the site...nah thats probably too paranoid.........

SO thats what happened . every time i tried to get in my computer made these fun noises . and all this time i thought it was me .

Well according to the chatter over at Beartooth, Larry has a backup available to restore the board. He just has to get over to the guy's house that the backup is stored at. Also in the same thread, someone noted that the same hacker hit a number of unrelated boards the same morning, so it probably wasn't targeted at gun ownership/hunting. Just an a$$hole getting his jollies.

Joe , the same happened to me
I think it was the photos i had posted (i knew that would happen) i was able to get back on about 11:00 pm last night .It realy had me worried.

Actually all the information on Gunloads was backed up for security reasons and during this phase the server was running so slow that no one could really connect. Sorry for that.

If they're going to hack, and I guess that's the reality of the world today, then maybe they could start with the sites of a few anti orgs and of certain dimocrat pols. That would keep the elbows busy and out of our hair and serve a useful purpose at the same time. If you can't beat 'em, eat 'em. :twisted:

Larry has the Marlin Owners board back up and running.

Gunload Master, I guess Marlin Owners illustrates that backups are important. Thanks for the effort.

All information is backed up daily, I am just surprised the server got slowed down for that backup... Computers can be funny somtimes.. :)
