30-30 Does it again!

My son harvested a spike and a small buck these last couple of weekends. He was using his Win 94 in 30-30 loaded with my 311041 boolits lubed with BLL and Ben’s Red backed with a charge of 2400 powder. The spike just dropped where he was standing, while the 6 pointer simply took a few more steps and feel down.

He’s got his venison now and wants a chance at the 10 pointer that he picked up on his game camera.

Still that way and some counties, such as mine, have point requirements. In my county (Troup) all antlered deer must have at least four points that are one inch long on one side of the rack (eye guards count as a point). I saw a 3x2 earlier this season and his eye guard on the three side was only a bump so I didn't shoot him.

Everyone knows that the 30-30 is too old hat and the gun has no plastic nor painted black..Ha cast bullets haaahaaa!
Got to be at least 308.

Now ....if the same bullet was launched by a short barrelled pistol in the same case squished down a bit smaller then I could believe that because that’s a killer of all things like a lazer out to 200-300 ydrs..
