I put a bullet into a fired case and chambered to get an idea on OAL for my Contender. it buried deep enough to put the check into the case. You can see in the pic where the ogive goes right into bullet diameter. It’s sized 359.

Not real worried from a safety standpoint but any thoughts on getting the best accuracy?

I'll bet it shoots just fine. I shoot a 250gr Saeco design in my 35 Whelen that has about that much of the check in the case, and it's a good shooter.

Mattd: They seat like that in my 35Rem Handi rifle too. They shoot just fine. Gp

Howdy !

I DK what the intended use is for your 180GC load(s) ?

From a pure accuracy standpoint, I got great results using IMR4759 under swaged & patched 150 gr .35 cal bullets that went a similar depth into the case. I know IMR4759 is on its way " out ", but might be worth a look?
My rifle is a M-336 XLR .35Rem w/ BALLARD-style rifling.

In the same rifle, I got great accuracy w/ Cutting Edge 150gr Extended Range Raptor ( turned brass ) over a reduced charge of H4198.
These have a noteable boat tail, and extended even deeper into the .35Rem case.

Again, I don't know whether reduced loads are a good fit for you shooting needs, but some fine accuracy can often be found by going that route.
