Howdy all,

Sent off the payment today for a GP100 Stainless Short lug 357. Now comes the hard part. I got to wait for the money to get there and the gun to get to my FFL. AAAARRRGGGHHHH!

Can't hardly stand it. But will post the pictures of my ne baby when it arrives.:drinks:

Could be worse....You could have to wait 6 weeks or more to get one back from Ruger for warranty repairs. :(

Does it look like this one? I bought this one new not long ago. It is the one that has locked up on me twice now! :(

Jack,

Yep, with a longer Barrel. It is an older gun though. Made in the late 80's.

Well, Heard from my FFL, It is in. Now all I have to do is manage to get to his shop. It's only 94 miles one way. We were rear ended last night and things are real hectic at the moment. Picked up a rental today and have to take Katie to a Neurologist tomorrow. Also have a meeting with a lawyer and Have to go to Mom's and try to finish her ramp on the front of her house. She had foot surgery on the 1st.

Well, Got the new gun today and it is awesome. It is actually Lighter than our 4" Model. Great Balance. Hope to shoot it as soon as the shoulders get over the wreck.

Sam--

It sounds like the arrival of the GP-100 was the one bit of good news in the midst of some serial misfortunes. I hope all is going well or at least getting better for you and yours.

Those GPs are tanks--they can absorb full-tilt 357 Magnum loadings like those from the 1930s and keep right on rolling.

i've got the same model blued , good shooters, and i'm yet to have any problems.
the only thing is the trigger, sure would to lighten the trigger pull, but for now i'll leave it alone. tha 4" wa worked on by a smith as result it has a sweet action.
i'm sure you'll like it.

hope your run of luck improves and you and your wife return to good health. dan

Dan,

It is slick. Trigger pull and all. Van went to the Repair shop today. Still sore as hell and Katie is still having problems with numbness and loss of strength, comes and goes. Waiting to hear back from Neurologist and get her in to see him. Damn people can sure drag their feet.
