Resurrection of the Meepos Speedlube

As found in a box of reloading junk at an estate auction in Winamac, Indiana a few years ago.

As of last night. Finally together and functional.

I don't have lube for it yet so used some LLA on some 311413 that I cast back in the 1970s for a 03A3.

I intend on getting some 50-50 alox-beeswax from http://www.lsstuff.com/lube/ as I think the Meepos will appreciate the softer lube.

It needs a little longer handle for more leverage in crimping gas checks. The nose punch it now has is for a rounder nose so it mashed out the nose on these a bit.

Before I make any more dies and nose punches I want to see how it handles lube pressure. I like it so far but I think it's funkiness is going to show itself in the lube valve. We'll see:coffee:.

Hi: My father, working with his father, designed and manufactured the Meepos reloading equipment. They started in the mid-30's and continued until the start of World War II. After the war, my grandfather continued making and selling some of the equipment until his death in the 70's

I would like to purchase one each of the reloader and lubricator and sizer. Please let me know if the one you just beautifully restored is for sale, and if it is, how much you are asking.

Also, if you know of our Meepos equipment that might be in the market.

I wish to show my grandchildren what my father and grandfather did and how great the design was. It's certainly a way to hold on to the past.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Dang look what the cat dragged in. There's all kinds of crufflers in this place. Zee and Bruce Drake and now youse. Probably a couple others.

Moved 2 yrs ago. Living with my daughter and family. Had a heart attack and bypass surgery in Sept 04 so it was time to leave the corncob monestary life behind and mix with the beautiful people in leftist hippieville and eat free range chicken and organic cookies. I'm so green its pathetic:).

While I've sold some/many pieces to buy the new lathe in March 05 I'm still deeply involved with the Swedish Mausers. I've been shooting purchased cast bullets in all the rifles for several years and now have procured all the fun stuff to start casting again after 15 years. I really like shooting cast bullets and have done some pretty good shooting in the 6.5x55 m/96 especially the one with the long eye relief scope.

Its been 10-11 years since we've been aquainted. Good to see you hang your hat here.

Good to here you're going well. The wife and I sold the dairy cows and quit juicing them in Aug. 06,
she's working at a nursing home and I'm fixing all the thing I've been meaning to for the last 15 years. I enjoy this place, good knowledge and good humor. I am guessing that in a few years I will have gained enough knowledge to ask questions without sounding as if I fell off the turnip truck this afternoon.
