Hammer spring?

The spring in my New Model Blackhawk was changed from original strength. It doesn't set off primers all the time, what was the poundage of the original spring? I can order other springs, but I need a reference to work from.

According to the Wolff gunsprings site, the factory spring is 23lb.
Oddly enough, they don't sell a factory standard spring for that gun. Lots of others both heavier and lighter.

go with the heavy spring closest to the factory spring.

I recommend a heavy spring and a real trigger job, Rugers SA hammer falls are slow enough as it is, a light spring makes it worse. Your groups will thank you for it. Happy shooting.

I bought some springs from the Wolff site. The 25lbs spring works; and the trigger is nicer too.

Every shooter should have a handgun with a real trigger job on his/her bucket list.
Mine is from Clark Custom Guns , a accuracy trigger job and red dot sight mounted on a Ruger MKII, just thinking about shooting it puts a smile on my face and a song in my heart... So Sweet !
I don't know how Clark Custom does it but to me it's simply magic what they do with a trigger.
