Have the chance to pick up a CVA Hawken percussion lock. I have a CVA Mountain rifle in percussion and was wondering are the locks interchangeable?
I figure the plate will need some reshaping at least at the back.

no the MR uses a small mason lock. Some of the lock internals however will swap out.

correct !
The CVA small locks will all swap around and the big locks will also interchange. I have made several big locks using the internals from the small lock and making a new big lockplate - have also used CVA innards on a new lock plate to fit a rifle that was inletted for a different lock altogether.
I posted a fix for bent CVA sear here last year - the long sear on some early locks is prone to bending.
