First let me say this to clear up any misunderstanding. I am just stating what the results were that I obtained in doing some chrono work this morning 10-12-2018.
I am just stating the primer and the velocity I obtained with these primers.

The load was 44 Magnum with 19.5 gr A2400, H&G 503 bullets with the wider front band, cast from #2 alloy that was tested to be 5-5-90 alloy, Starline cases with a firm crimp with a Lee FC die.
Test firearm was a 44 Magnum T/C Encore with a 6 19/32 inch barrel.
I am not including lot numbers because you having the same lot would be rare and due to variations in different lots it still would be silly to post lot numbers but if someone wants them let me know. I have them.

Federal 150 with XXXXXXX lot
1351 fps.
Vel. SD 20.80

Federal 150 with YYYYYYYY lot
1345 FPS
Vel. SD 16.24

CCI 300 with ZZZZZZZ lot
1316 FPS
Vel SD 21.86

Remington 2 1/2 with WWWWWWW lot
1357 FPS
Vel SD 30.19

Winchester Large Pistol with UUUUUUU lot
1356 FPS
Vel. SD 9.16 FPS

Winchester Large Primer with TTTTTTT lot
1376 FPS
Vel. SD 29.49 FPS

Now take this with what its worth since it didn't cost anything. The extreme spread between the slowest to fastest was 60 FPS. Nothing to get excited about.

And so it goes in the life of a non ballistician. I did not conduct this test in a lab with extreme controls in place or a wizard sitting beside me.

Again I mean no hurt, harm, or anguish to any of the fine people on this forum. I am just making a statement based on my knowledge, information and/or belief.
I am not trolling, calling out or baiting anyone. Please understand this.
Thank You.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I wonder how CCI 350 would have fared. Any info with SD with primer groups?

I have some CCI 350's but did not load any. I may load some of the CCI 300's and 350's later on and just chrono them
I went back and listed the SD on velocities with each primer.

Kudos and thanks for sharing your data! I am about to start -- my next loading project -- a (coffee) can or two -- of cast bullet .44 S&W Special cartridges, and hence, find your report most enlightening.
Much appreciated!

My experience using a chrono with revolvers and 296 have shown CCI350's to be approx. 50-70 fps faster than CCI 300 primers.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
My takeaways:
60 fps extreme variation is about 4%, least among lots is close to 1%
Mfr. R showed the largest SD
Mfr. W showed the least-for one lot, the other was close behind Mfr R.
Lot to lot variation may be more significant than Mfr.
How many shots were fired? 10 is less significant than a whole box.
