225 Winchester twist rate

I recently bought an old savage model 340 chambered in 225 winchester. I have not been able to find what twist rate this has. Can anybody help? Thanks.

When in doubt, a cleaning rod with a tight patch and a marker will let you know the actual twist rate of your rifle.

I would be shocked if it is anything other than 1-14" twist. I got to shoot a m70 varmint in .225 Win a few years ago and it was a tackdriver. Stock up on brass for your neat rifle.

I have a custom barrel target rifle chambered in 225 Win and it is 1x14” twist just like it is recommended in other research I did. My research suggests projectiles in the 45-55 gr are best at that rate.
