I'd love to go again.... It's an obsession I have. When Lori and I go for a drive I'm always looking for critters and nice ponds. Folks don't let one fish like they used to when I was younger and just asked....

Must have been the Mississippi or lower Wisconsin river? I live on the Upper Wisconsin River. The river in until the late 70's was very polluted. Lots of sulfur. Nobody would even eat the fish. Most fish died out. Oxygen got very low. But after they cracked down on the effluence the river came back ...and came back BIG. Many more species of fish. Lot's of everything now. Excellent eating. But the fishing pressure has become crazy. Oh well....and the past several years the River ...even the mighty Wisconsin River has been getting less and less flow. There is so much irrigation now that all of the lakes and streams are hurting. I digress.
