I would just like to start and say I have had absolutely no problems with my mag 10, and I mean not a hiccup. Still, being anal, I thought it was time to give it the full cleaning. I got the rest dissembled no problem, The problem was taking the gas piston nut off. That thing is stuck on there bad. I started off gentle, and progressed to a padded vice and a pipe wrench. I figured some fool put red loctite on it, so I got it nice and hot with the torch. Plenty hot to melt red loctite. Still would not budge. To make it worse, I decided to give it just that little bit more force, and pop. One of the stands popped off for the vent rib. At this point, I'm going to take this to a real gunsmith to repair the vent rib, and maybe get the nut off. I'm soaking it in PB blaster now. It's not a reverse thread is it? Any other tips? Does anyone know if the hex style SP10 nuts will fit?

I’ll be watching this tread as I own a Mag10 roadblocker. Maybe when it goes back together, some anti cease can be used.
