I aquired this mold 95% sure it was manufactured by Modern bond. Problem is, there are a few differences from what i am used to seing in a MB made mold. 1)its unmarked, 2) its set screws are in the wrong place 3) its 2 different calibers in one block 8mm (160gr) and 6.5mm , as far as i can tell with calipers. They resemble a couple MB designs, except they lack crimp grooves
4) handles are of cast brass, i have seen pics of modern bond handles that look like these, but i wasnt aware that any were made of brass.

SO , Im looking for people with more knowledge than I , to help with identification
( if pic appears cut off, click on it to open full image)

Blocks look more like a couple of Cramer molds I had.

Also, The 6.5mm cavity is a dead ringer for modern bond C-266-731 (i measured 0.730- 0.740 depth but the 8mm/32 is off a bit from the A-321-875 since it doesnt have A crimp groove (it measued 0.880-0.890 depth)

I havent dealt with cramer molds much, i thought the sprue plate stop was part of the sprue plate always on his molds ? Or was there variations through the years?

Sprue plate is Modern Bond, handles are bronze and not common. The first M-B reloading tools were bronze only.

I wonder who made the handles, i need to take it apart to see how the screws were made, thread pattern etc. The mold is/was so well made, it had to be done by a experienced machinist.

The handles were made by Modern Bond. Do not take them apart, they are scarce in bronze. They were made about 1924.

So you think the whole piece is modern bond?

I was just talking about seperating the mold from the handles, to see how the mold screws were made, since the set screws are in a different place than the later modern bond molds i have, plus id like to see if they match up with later modern bond handles.

OK, you had my panicked there for a moment.

Trying other moulds on the handles would be great, please post your findings.
