A member here has graciously made me a hand made holster for my Clements custom 41 Mag. It’s a OMBH with 4-5/8” barrel that’s been worked over by Mr Clements. Holster is hand cut, stitched, and basket weaved. This gentleman that made the holster was a good friend of my fathers when they served together. Without any further adiu

Let's have some pics of the Clements Blackhawk !

I've got an old 3-screw 41 Mag that I keep meaning to send to him. If I'd sent it when I first thought of it, I'd have it back by now.

Bookworm, he’s not taking orders for another 4+ months when I spoke to him last week.

I’ll try to get some posted soon or I’ll try to find the thread that has them in there.

The factory Kinda did with the flat top series. It was built on the smaller 3 digit 357 frame.

Groo,

Same reason COLT didn't do it in the SAA.

That is a very nice piece of leather work. I have done leather work for over forty years and I only did one basket weave. It is the most difficult design to do. Get one line a little off and it ruins the overall look.

Bookworm, sorry for the lengthy delay.
4 digit SN OM BH with retrofitted brass frame by the original owner that I bought it from. General action work, BP chamfer, metal ejection shroud, polishes, double gold bar front and Bowen Classic rough country rear, custom AAA Walnut grips and grip shape modified to approximate a #5. Probably tons more I’m forgetting.

Very nice outfit. Those older 41 mags have really appreciated lately. I have a pristine 6 1/2 inch I am reluctant to shoot any more.

Osteodoc, that is a very nice revolver. While I'm not a huge fan of the brass grip frame, I do like the overall look of the weapon. I really, really like the front sight.

The nice thing about custom work; you make it the way you want, screw everyone else.

That is beautiful Doc, I imagine it shoots beautifully as well.

It does shoot really well with just about anything I’ve tried. The brass frame is unique to be sure. Took a while to grow on me as I prefer blues steel. I really like the dragoon shape as it gives my knuckle a little more room.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. David Clements of Clements custom did the work.

I like the sights on your new pistol. I don't do New Model Rugers but the 3screws are probably the
best SAs ever built. Their one glitch was sights. I have had many Ruger BH & SBHs that run out of
adjustment , especially elevation drop. Looks like your pistol has nice sight picture and front is high
enough to sight in at shorter ranges. The factory Ruger sights are well enough made, I think they
went with the Cowboy profile. Practical sights kinda breaks up the western look that sold thousands
of these fine revolvers.

Awesome looking holster, and those grips are gorgeous. Where did you get them and what are they?

The grip stocks were made in house at Clements using AA Claro Walnut. The front sight is a double gold bar front sight of Clements design. The rear is indeed Bowen Rough Country. Bowen and Clements are friends and actually use each others parts. Most notable are the Bisley conversion parts that Clements makes.

As a leather worker, I have to tip my hat to whomever made the Holster. That is some fine work. And I love those grips!
