I bought my first can of real BP Goex FF, up until now I have been using T7 or pyrodex , two ffty gr.pellets behind a 295gr 50 cal powerbelt. I have been getting the ring in front of projectile so bad that it made it impossible to load a second shot without cleaning. I tried all the new primers out there but none made a differance. Someone told me to try real BP, so my question is do I use 100 gr of loose to start or start with 90 and work up??

Gun is a CVA Kodiak inline 50 cal.

Personally I'd start a little lower like 70 or 80, but thats just me but definately start lower than 100. Other wise you knever know what load works best for you and your gun. Generally it works the same as pyrodex by volume.
