Those are full metal jacketed. I have a 45ACP my dad brought back from the Army when he carried a 1911 that is identical.

They look like tin-washed copper jacketed bullets, very common in that era.

It would be interesting to know what they sell for.

If they were not fired they were not used, they were just left behind by someone in the gang.

The initial pic showed a cartridge, but the article says test bullets shot for ballistic testing during the follow-up investigation.

If just the bullets, how are they "used by Bonnie and Clyde" ??
For the cartridges, how are they even used at all?

Sounds like the auction lot is everything except bullets actually used by B&C, lol ...

I saw a program on telly about B&C and the Barrow gang...........I was very surprised about the heavy armament used by both sides........the gang had half a dozen BARs,and the cops who ambushed them seem to have had at least five BARs......pretty deadly for the cops too,the gang fired on cops from inside a building, bullets going thru the walls,....very scary stuff for cops sneaking up on the gangs hideout to know they d be mowed down with machine guns.
