Ideal 458 Core Mould

Man, I sorry for all these threads tonight, but I just don't know what some of these moulds are.
Okay, this one is marked 458. It appears to be a bullet core mould with a single cavity and and adjustable stop that allows you to set the length and thus the weight of the lead core. I've never seen one like this before and wonder if I am correct that it is a 45-caliber core mould. If anyone knows I would appreciate some input. It is marked Ideal.

if it is just casting a cylinder, then like Buckshot says, it is a core mold, but if it has a point, it could be an old Ideal paper patch mould. What diameter slug does it make?

No point. Just a cylinder. I have not used it so I don't know exact diameter. It is marked 458 and the size of the cavity indicates it is likely for making 45 bullets though.

Re-check the marking on it; mine says "45 S", which you may have mis-read as "458". Lyman made these 1960 - 1968, in .22, .30, .38, .44 and .45, actually casting 0.186", 0.239", 0.316", .0.392" and 0.409", respectively. Placed into half-, 3/4- or full-length jackets they were than "swaged up" to the final diameter.

Any other "goodies" in the mould collection?

Hot damn. You are right. It is stamped 45S.
As far as other moulds received in the lot, there are a few interesting ones.

H&G two cavity with handles No. 22 -- 45 caliber 255 grain roundnose flatpoint with two grease grooves and no crimp groove. Made for the 45 auto rim.
