Picked up one a these molds from 475/480 awhile back and since the dang winds been blowin' 40-60 MPH taday I've been wimpin' out n hidin' in my castin' room...
Neway's I cast a pile of these boolits up n fer the life of me can't find reloadin' data that ain't near top end...these er for a Ruger Blackhawk n a Marlin 1894 but have no need ta push the envelope here...
Doe's nebody have some experience with this un' with loads other than H110?

9.0 grains of Unique will get you close to 900 FPS with about any 250-270 grain boolit in the 45 Colt. I just ran some of my new #454424 castings through my Bisley Blackhawk using this old standard load, and it was very comfortable to shoot--an "all day" load for sure. It had been about 15 years since I shot this load in a 45 Colt, and its performance instantly reminded me why I liked it in years past. Makes me want a double-action wheeler in this caliber all over again.

JK--

Opening up the throats to the right diameter worked wonders in my gun. Formerly, it was a One Boolit Wonder--only Lyman #454490 would do anything good. Now, it does great work with about any cast boolit sized .454" that I run through it. What a difference.
