Saw a can of this at the Sportsman's Warehouse for the same price as a can of the 231 I was planning on getting. Decided to roll the dice and give it a try having never heard of it before.

Loaded up 6.2gr and 6.0gr loads of .40 S&W using RMR 165gr plated boolits and headed to a nearby gravel pit.

Shot some very nice 5-shot offhand groups at 10yds with reduced recoil in my G35 GSSF match gun. Did some 25yd testing, but it was windy and I didn't have a rest, so the 3" groups were nothing to write home about but certainly acceptable for the conditions.

Powder delivered the same accuracy as my Titegroup loads but with less recoil. Very happy with it!

It's the old Winchester Action Pistol (WAP) powder, with a new label. You can use WAP data for it.

Hope this helps.

I have been using this for a little over a year now and think it's great. It works very well for me in 45acp with 200gr plated bullets, 9mm with all 115 gr and 124gr plated bullets and is the only powder I've found that shoots worth a darn in my 380acp using 100gr plated bullets. This is a bit slower than HP-38 as I find about all loads call for about 1gr more powder to start in the 9mm and 45acp.

The wife and I also shoot a lot of indoor ranges and it does own up to less smoky, big time. We both could tell the very first time we shot it indoors, it was that noticeable! It's also been the most consistent with all 6 pistols we've used it in.

Maybe it was the lube on the cast boolits I loaded up for my 40 S&W?, but it was almost as smokey as my 1858 Remington NM Army!, have about half a pound of it I may never burn up?

I’ve used this powder mainly for 9x23 loads, I’ll have to try it for some other calibers as well.

I bought a pound some time back to try to load up some +P .45 ACP's. Ramshot's data looked pretty good with 200's and 230's, thought I'd pick up some new Starline brass and give it a whirl.

Thinkin' 230's around 975 and 200's about 1100 ought be about right. Gonna have to work on that this winter......

Try it with plated or jacketed bullets. I think you will be surprised.

I also use both WAP and Silhouette for the 9x23 Winchester. I've still got a couple pounds of WAP to use up, then it will be Silhouette from then on.

Hope this helps.
